Hi, I’m Jim Clark, founder of Auto Detail Insider. I started this website to share my passion for auto detailing.
I’ve been obsessed with cars for as long as I can remember. About 15 years ago, I started experimenting with detailing my own vehicle and friends’ cars for fun. What began as a fun weekend activity quickly turned into a personal obsession with getting the best shine possible.
Over the years, I’ve tried hundreds of auto detailing products and methods to figure out what works. My garage now looks like a detail shop with all the polishers, compounds, waxes and microfiber towels I’ve accumulated.
You won’t find advice for running a professional auto detailing business here. Instead, I provide practical tips, how-to tutorials and product reviews aimed at the hobbyist who wants to get a flawless finish on their own or a friend’s vehicle.
In my free time, you can find me polishing the latest car addition or experimenting with new auto detailing products and methods just for fun. I’m committed to constantly improving my skills so I can continue to provide the best free advice online for DIY detailers.
